Software Foundation Fiji

Software Foundation (Fiji), established in 2010 and registered as a non-profit organization in 2012, is dedicated to enhancing computer literacy and fostering the development of software in Fiji, with a particular emphasis on free open source software (FOSS). The foundation actively provides training and support to improve information and communication technology (ICT) capabilities, builds networks of local and international experts, and promotes global competition and collaboration among Fiji software companies. It implements various initiatives such as specialized training workshops, curriculum support for schools, and the establishment of an Information Technology Institute to deliver free computer literacy classes to the community. By focusing on access to technology for all, including the elderly and disabled, the Software Foundation equips individuals with essential skills and knowledge, thereby positioning itself as a credible leader in driving significant advancements in Fiji's ICT sector.
