Race Forward

Race Forward employs systematic analysis and an innovative approach to address complex racial issues, effectively empowering communities impacted by systemic racism in their pursuit of racial equity. The organization builds collective power through its initiatives, including the renowned biennial Facing Race conference, the largest multiracial gathering focused on racial justice in the United States. Additionally, Race Forward facilitates the Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE), uniting various governmental jurisdictions to promote equitable policies and practices, while also hosting Colorlines, a multimedia platform designed for activists to enhance their understanding of societal structures and foster the coalition needed for a just multiracial democracy.
