Who We Are
Ecologists without Borders, established in 2009, stands as a leading non-profit organization in Slovenia that is dedicated to enhancing environmental conditions by tackling waste at its source. With a vision of "A world without waste," the organization actively minimizes waste production and transforms residual waste into valuable resources and employment opportunities. Notable achievements include the Let’s Clean up Slovenia projects, which mobilized over 289,000 volunteers, representing 14% of the population, to participate in record-setting clean-up events. This unprecedented community engagement has facilitated partnerships among individuals, businesses, NGOs, and governmental bodies, earning the organization an order of merit for its contributions. The organization has since concentrated its efforts on promoting waste prevention, reuse, recycling, and implementing Zero Waste strategies, positioning it as a reliable leader in environmental stewardship.
