Beltline Communities
Who We Are
Beltline, established by Calgary City Council on June 8, 2003, represents the consolidation of the former community districts of Connaught and Victoria Park, creating Calgary's most urban mixed-use residential district. Named after the historical streetcar line that once connected its neighborhoods, Beltline retains the legacy of Queen Victoria and the Duke of Connaught through its designated areas, Beltline Victoria Park and Beltline Connaught. As of the 2011 city census, Beltline's population reached 19,556, making it the second most populous community in Calgary, with a consistent influx of young urban professionals contributing to its status as the fastest growing urban community in the city and one of the fastest growing in North America. This dynamic growth positions Beltline as a vibrant and desirable locale for residents and businesses alike, showcasing its potential for continued development and investment.
