Who We Are
Consumer advice centers located across all federal states deliver reliable and independent guidance to consumers through approximately 200 facilities, staffed by over 2,000 dedicated employees. These non-profit organizations, predominantly publicly funded, are committed to informing and supporting consumers on various aspects of private consumption. They enhance consumer understanding by providing clarity on complex market conditions and identifying critical health and environmental factors that may impact purchasing decisions. Funded through a combination of state and municipal resources, as well as federal project funds, these centers also generate revenue through their counseling services and the sale of guidebooks, ensuring a sustainable approach to their mission of consumer advocacy and education.
