Who We Are
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) demonstrates its leadership in addressing humanitarian crises by effectively delivering essential services to millions affected by conflict and disaster. In 2017, the IRC and its international partners enhanced access to primary health care for nearly 23 million individuals, implemented cash and asset transfers for 179,491 vulnerable households, and reached approximately 2 million people impacted by hunger crises across East Africa, Nigeria, and Yemen. The organization established educational opportunities for 1.14 million children and supported 16,179 businesses, with a significant focus on female ownership.
